Klosterbrauerei Weltenburger

Weltenburger Asam bock is a doppelbock beer brewed at Welternburger Klosterbrauerei, the oldest monastery brewery in the world. The Klosterbrewery's location is along the German River Donau in the state of Bavaria. The monastery brewery was founded in the year 1050, but it is claimed that they began to brew beer even before this.

Asam Bock is dark, strong and maltely bottom-fermented beer, named after the famous Baroque painter Cosmas Damian Bock. The beer exudes light roasted aromas that gives a hint of coffee. The beer is known for its particularly strong, sweet and very aromatic and persistent taste. The beer has a strong dark color with a fine compact white foam.
