Casa Rojo Alexander VS The Ham Factory
Spain is a true legacy of vineyards, containing many years of passion, viticulture, history and terroirs. Award-winning Casa Rojo wants to present all of Spain by traveling through aromas, flavors, to feel the different textures and cultures. Their nine vineyards have nine different and unique stories to tell!
Alexander vs The Ham Factory was born from the best vineyards in Aranda de Duero. The vineyards contain Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and merlot. Located 900 meters above sea level, it´s the perfect reflection of the viticulture and style of Ribera del Duero!
In 2015 the Casa Rojo and Miguel Sanz family camoe together to elaborate a great wine in the Ribera del Duero, resulting in Alexander vs The Ham Factory!
Harvested early in the day during the second fortnight of October. The grapes go through two selection tables before entering the cellar by gravity. Fermantation is done in stainless steel tanks. Aging is done for approximately 18 months in French oak barrels of 225 liters. Reductive aging in bottles for at least 6 months.
The wine has an intense ruby red color, with violet nuances. On the nose it has intense notes of black fruit and undertones of cocoa, mocha and vanilla. These same notes can be found in the taste.
